As part of my classroom management, I and the other fourth grade teachers, use an application called Class Dojo. This application can be accessed on a computer, iPad, or smart phone. On the app, the students each have a character with their name. I can give points for positive behavior such as being on task or standing quietly in line. I can also take away points for talking while the teacher is talking or being off-task. I really love this tool because not only can I see the scores, but you, the parents, can as well. All you need is one of the above technologies to download the application. After downloading, make a username and password. Through this tool, you can message me about any behavior concerns or questions. I would be happy to talk with you!
Fourth grade just had a huge week of parent-teacher conferences. It was great to meet you all for the first time and put a face to your name.
